PIERRE — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. Commissioners will consider approval of a massive consent calendar with 13 items on it. Most of the items are seasonal and full time new hires with two public hearings to be set for April 25th. Six items of new business make up the bulk of the agenda. Commissioners will consider a request to purchase a state surplus dump truck for the Wastewater Department and a request to surplus and sell by sealed bid 106 Eagle Drive. The Commission will consider the purchase of two new police vehicles and two 2023 budget supplement requests. One is first reading of a supplement for the police department while the second is for E-911 insurance proceeds for replacing radios. Also on the agenda are some personnel policy changes. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm. The meeting is open to the public.
