This weekend the Pierre Governors will look for its first wins of the season as they take on the O’Gorman Knights on Friday in Sioux Falls, but Saturday’s games against Roosevelt has now been canceled.
The doubleheader this evening will be played at Augustana University at Ronken Field as the Govs will play its first four games on infield turf. O’Gorman is now 0-5 on the season after its 1-0 walk-off loss to the Roosevelt Roughriders on Thursday. Both Pierre and O’Gorman will be looking for its first wins tonight. Pierre was scheduled to face Roosevelt on Saturday, but due to the cold, windy and persistent rain in the forecast for Saturday, the doubleheader has been canceled with no make up date planned.
First pitch on Friday is at 5:00 with coverage starting at 4:45 with Saturday’s games now canceled. The doubleheader tonight will be on KCCR and on YouTube at KCCR Sports with Jon Winkler on the call.
