PIERRE — The South Dakota Public Utilities Commission has approved a 10-day discovery response deadline in a siting docket for a proposed carbon dioxide transport pipeline. The motion brought no comment from intervenors or Summit. Commissioner Chris Nelson wanted some clarification from Edwards on the request…
Commissioner Gary Hanson asked Edwards if state law addresses such extensions…
If approved by the P-U-C, Summit Carbon Solutions would build a pipeline to capture carbon from ethanol plants in the Midwest to underground storage in North Dakota. A spur of the pipe is proposed to cut across parts of Hand, Hyde and Sully Counties to serve the Ringneck Energy plant in Onida.
