Bollinger To Retire From BOA As Agency To Combine With State Human Resource Bureau

PIERRE — A long time public servant is ready to hang up his hat of service to South Dakota. Governor Kristi Noem announced Wednesday Bureau of Administration Commissioner Scott Bollinger is retiring in June. Bollinger has served in state government for 40 years in numerous positions in various agencies. Bollinger’s retirement will bring an unrelated merger of the Bureau of Administration with the Bureau of Human Resources. Noem says the merger will streamline processes for state employees while reducing overhead, making the state more responsible with tax dollars. Current Human Resource Commissioner Darin Seeley will take over as head of the joint agency. Meanwhile, Noem also announced that Chas Olsen has been named interim Director of the South Dakota Housing Authority. Olsen currently serves at the Housing Authority as Director of Rental Housing.
