The Pierre Governor baseball team will not be playing again this weekend and will be looking to start the season next week as the game in Huron on Friday has been canceled.
It goes down as the fifth game postponed for the varsity squad who has yet to play this year. All five games are in limbo with a possibility of a make up date, however, it will be decided on the fate of weather the rest of the spring will bring. Only a select few games have been played between South Dakota teams as Yankton is 3-0 with two wins over Huron and an 11-4 win over Sioux Falls Lincoln on Monday. Outside of those three games, teams have played outside of the state.
The next Pierre Governor games are set for Monday, April 10 in Mitchell with games to begin at 1:00. Both games of the doubleheader will be on KCCR and on YouTube at KCCR Sports with Jon Winkler on the call.
