The Pierre Governor baseball team will have to wait longer for its opening day as Friday and Saturday’s game out west have been canceled due to winter weather.
Both dates do not have a make up date at this time, but will still have a possibility for a make up date if weather allows. Pierre’s next chance for opening day is next Friday when they travel to Huron to face the Tigers. The day has a JV game at 4:00 with the varsity to play at 6:00. After, the Govs will head to Mitchell on Monday, April 10 to face the Kernels at 1:00 and 3:00.
