Multiple Top Ten Finishes for Pierre in Opening Track Meet of Season

The Pierre Governor track and field team had its first meet of the season on Monday in Brookings at the Ruth Marske Invitational and the Govs finished with 19 top ten finishes on the afternoon.

On the Pierre Governor girls side, Kali Ringstmeyer had the best finish with a fifth place finish in the 200 meter dash. Danielle Beck would place sixth in the high jump while also placing seventh in the 300 meter hurdles. Mason Berg would also place seventh in the 3200 meter run and the team of Ringstmeyer, Aleise Christopherson, Kali Ringstmeyer and Anastyn Baade also placed seventh in the 4×100 relay.

The Pierre Boys had its best finish coming from Jason Maciejczak who placed second in the shot put throw at 15.85 meters. Colby Carey would place third in the pole vault while Chase Carda and Brock Moser would tie for ninth in the category. Jared Lutmer had two third place finishes in the 1600 and 3200 meter runs while Deegan Houska had a third place finish in the 300 meter hurdles and an eighth place finish in the triple jump. Greyson Schuetzle had two top ten finishes with a seventh place finish in the 300 meter hurdles and also a ninth place finish in the 110 hurdles. Landon Bertram had a ninth place finish in the 200 meter run and Andrew Campea placed tenth in the high jump and Carson Stoeser in the 400 meters and 200 meters.
