The Team South Dakota U19 Girls came back after dropping its first game of the tournament on Thursday to reach the national semifinals Sunday night before dropping a 4-0 decision to Alaska.

Team SD lost its first game 5-2 to St. Mary’s California before storming back with an 11-0 win over United High School of Missouri on Friday. Three Oahe Capitals were a part of the team and were a big part of the success over the weekend. Sophomore Brylee Kafka had four points in five games scoring two goals and picking up two assists while senior Alyssa Stahl had a goal in the 11-0 route of Missouri. The other senior, Abagail Stewart-Fromm combined for the shutout with Sioux Falls goalie Sydney Fornwald in Team SD’s only shutout.
