Two Pierre Governors competed in the 3 Class Shootout over this past weekend as the AA girls would go 2-0 and the Class A boys would also go 2-0 on the day.
For the AA girls, Pierre’s Remington Price started both games for the team and averaged double figures in the two wins. In game one, the AA girls squeaked out an 88-87 win over Class A and Price scored nine in the win. Price then scored 13 in the 97-71 win over the B girls to close out the day with a 2-0 record. Price went 3-6 from the field in game one and then 5-7 in the second game.
On the boys side, Pierre was represented by Jackson Edman this year, but the AA boys did lose its game to Class A in a high scoring affair 111-105. Edman finished with 10 points and seven rebounds in the loss. Edman was the only player on AA who didn’t commit a turnover and also finished with a block. Class A won its second game against Class B with a 129-111 final. Kaden Year of Sioux Falls Jefferson won this year’s dunk contest in between the two boys games.
