Cowels is from the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas and says he likes being out of the big city and in a smaller community like Pierre. He also enjoys how friendly Pierre residents have been during his short time in Pierre. He began as Airport Manager Monday, taking over for Cameron Howard who resigned in January.
