The Howard Tigers used their size advantage to wear down the Sully Buttes Chargers, and despite a desperate comeback in the fourth quarter, Howard outlasted Sully Buttes 54-44 in the seventh place game at the Huron Arena Saturday.
The Tigers were led by 6’0″ senior Kate Connor and 6’0″ junior Abby Asleson, who both finished with 19 points. Top scorers for Sully Buttes was Stevie Wittler, who finished with 17 points, and Allyson Wittler scoring 10 points.
Sully Buttes finishes the year at 20-6, while Howard also finishes at 20-6.
