The Stanley County Buffaloes are the seven seed heading into the Region tournament tonight, but will face a foe they beat in the two seed, the Miller Rustlers.
The Buffs will look for a second win this year against Miller as Stanley County beat the Rustlers in the first game of the season with a 59-56 win. However, the Buffaloes struggled after the win and finished the season at 3-17 and have lost nine straight coming into tonight. The Rustlers finished the season at 11-9 and turned on the jets to close the year on a six game winning streak to reach the two seed in the region tournament. Now Stanley County will look to dash the dreams of the Rustlers making the SoDak 16 or state tournament with a big upset win, and beating Miller for the second time this season.
Tip off from Miller will be at 7:30 tonight. The winner tonight will face the winner of Crow Creek and Cheyenne-Eagle Butte on Friday in the SoDak 16 qualifying match.
