The Pierre Governor girls are at home for the second to final time on Friday as the Mitchell Kernels will come to town.
The Kernels picked up a win over Pierre last year and after the loss to Mitchell, Pierre’s season started to flip for the better. The Govs rattled off wins to climb the AA standings and just missed a home playoff game. Now, Pierre is in the top three of the standings and after its win over Brookings on Tuesday, will look for a second straight win heading into the final week of the regular season. Pierre is at 14-3 and Mitchell is at 8-9 and tenth in the AA standings.
Tip off tonight will be at 7:00 from Riggs High School in Pierre. Pierre’s final home game will be on Tuesday against Jefferson.
