The Pierre Governors would knock off the Mitchell Kernels on Friday 64-48 to improve to 15-3 on the season and also claim the girls ESD basketball title.
Pierre had a slow start, but still led 30-21 at the half and were led by Remington Price who had a season high 25 points on the night for the Govs. She was followed by Reese Terwilliger with 13 points and Ayvrie Kaiser had eight for Pierre. The Governors have now won three in a row and set up a matchup with the Jefferson Cavaliers on Tuesday in the final home game of the season. The Governors moved up to second place in the AA standings after Jefferson’s loss on Thursday to O’Gorman.
