The Pierre Governor boys will be in Mitchell tonight as the Govs take on the Kernels at the Corn Palace and starting a stretch of the last three games against top five teams in AA.
The Governors have won three straight games to improve to 11-6 on the season, but have fallen out of the top eight in the SoDak 16 and in ninth place currently. However, with three games against teams inside the top five of the AA standings, Pierre can quickly climb the standings. The Mitchell Kernels dropped to the fourth spot in the standings at now 12-4 after its loss to the Washington Warriors on Tuesday. Mitchell will also have to deal with Brandon Valley and O’Gorman next week before the end of the season. Pierre will face Jefferson on Tuesday who is currently undefeated and then Roosevelt next Friday to close out the season.
