U-S Highway 83 has been designated statewide as the Veitnam Memorial Highway. That designation will have to be removed before it could be replaced with the Sicangu Lakota Code Talker Memorial Highway designation across the Rosebud Reservation in south central South Dakota. Members of the Senate Transportation Committee supported Bordeaux’s idea but voted down S-B 190 on a seven zero vote.
