Stanley County Boys Get Close, Swept in Doubleheader to Mobridge-Pollock

The Stanley County Buffalo boys made things interesting at the end, but it was a doubleheader sweep for the Mobridge-Pollock Tigers on Tuesday in Ft. Pierre.

Mobridge-Pollock would get the win in the girls game at 71-36 as the running clock would be enacted in the second half for the win. Mobridge improves to 13-5 on the season and will have back to back games on Thursday and Friday to close out the season. Morgan Hoffman would lead the Lady Buffs with seven points on the evening. Stanley County falls to 6-13 and will host Little Wound to close the season on Thursday.

In the boys contest, the Tigers escaped with a 58-52 win over the Buffs. The Tigers improve to 10-8 while the Buffs drop to 3-15. Stanley County would lead 25-20 at the end of the half, but a strong second half from the Tigers helped them get the tenth win of the season. Stanley County would be lead by Kaden Montana and Paxton Deal as both had 19 points on the evening.

Stanley County will host Little Wound on Thursday in a doubleheader. Tip off at 6:30 of the girls game with the boys game to follow at the Parkview Auditorium in Ft. Pierre.
