Last month, Lincoln Kienholz was named the South Dakota Gatorade Player of the Year for football. It’s the second Governor to receive the honor since 2019-2020 school year as Garrett Stout also was selected. Each individual who wins the honor receives a $1,000 to donate to a non-profit of their choice. Kienholz chose the Oahe YMCA to receive the money following Stout also choosing the YMCA three years ago.
