PIERRE — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. Commissioners will consider approval of a seven-item consent calendar before getting to the main agenda. The Commission will consider awarding a bid for resurfacing of the aquatic center pool and will hold a public hearing at 5:45 p.m. on an ordinance to amend landscape standards for commercial properties. In new business, the Commission will consider a requests to purchase a digger derrick and transformers for the Electric Department and a change order for the wastewater plant redesign project. Also on the agenda for the Pierre City Commission are three requests to abate property taxes and a request to bid for the city’s 2023 street paving project. Commissioners will end the meeting by presenting any dialogue they may have. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 p.m. The meeting is open to the public.
