The Pierre Governor gymnastics team would finish in eighth place as a team in Aberdeen at the state meet on Friday scoring a 136.317.
Pierre was only three points behind a top four finish at the state meet as Mitchell would edge O’Gorman for the team title winning with a score of 148.550 and OG with a 148.250.
On Saturday Nevaeh Karber would finish in 13th place in the All Around for the Governors as Karber being the lone junior, can return everyone to the team next season. Karber had the best finish at the state meet individually on Saturday for the Govs at 15th in the bars category scoring a 8.517.
For Stanley County, Addy Deal had the best score for the Lady Buffs scoring an 8.7 in the floor category as the Lady Buffs had individuals competing in three different categories at the state meet.
