The Sully Buttes Chargers will be on the road after a steady dose of home games as they travel to Mobridge to face the Mobridge-Pollock Tigers in a doubleheader.
Both Charger teams are coming in off wins on Tuesday and both have won its last three games while the Charger girls are on a five game winning streak. The Tiger boys are coming in at 8-6 but are also on a winning streak beating Crow Creek 64-60 on Monday to extend it to six straight victories. The Tigers are in second place in the 6A standings fighting McLaughlin for the top stop.
The Mobridge-Pollock girls are now 11-4 on the season after a win on Tuesday over Timber Lake to extend its winning streak to three games. It’s going to be a battle of of the top teams in Region 6A and 6B with the Chargers now at 13-2 after its close win over Herreid/Selby Area on Tuesday. The Chargers are down to five games on the season including a make up date against Wolsey-Wessington which will be coming up on Monday, Feb. 13.
Both JV games will be played at the same time in two different gyms so the girls varsity game will begin earlier around 5:15. DT Meyer, the voice of the Chargers will have both varsity games on Country 95.3, pierrecountry.com and on YouTube at Country 95.3 Sports with coverage beginning around 5:00.
