Rivals Sully Buttes Chargers and Potter County Battlers will meet in Onida tonight for another girls and boys doubleheader between the two squads.
The Charger girls are looking to keep rolling but Sully Buttes and Potter County are one and two in the Region 6B standings. The Chargers are 11-2 while the Battlers are 9-4. Sully Buttes has won four in a row since its two losses while Potter County got back on the winning track defeating Redfield on Tuesday after falling to Northwestern on the road on Saturday. Tonight’s game could determine the top seed for the Region tournament at the end of February.
The Chargers are looking for a second straight win after getting a three point victory on Tuesday. Sully Buttes is at 2-10 while Potter County is just 1-12 and have lost back to back games after winning its first game against North Central. As the Chargers know, the record doesn’t tell the story of how dangerous a team can be, especially with it being a rivalry game tonight.
