Stanley County Commission To Meet On Rare Friday Night

FORT PIERRE — The Stanley County Commission is holding a rare Friday night meeting tonight at the Stanley County Courthouse in Fort Pierre. Commissioners will consider approval of the agenda and hear the Treasurer and Auditor report before getting into the agenda. The Commission will get an update on the Verendrye Museum and hear the 2022 Coroner’s report. Fairgrounds Manager Scott Deal will meet with Commissioners to discuss a number of items including a cement floor and insulation for the shop; post pounder, backhoe, telehandler and toolcat. The Commission will consider two resolutions; one for a plat and the second for a wildland fire division designee. Commissioners will consider two resignations and a new hire along with updates for the Hayes Hall storm shelter. Also on the agenda are a tractor, engineering services for the courthouse and an agreement with the Central South Dakota Enhancement District. The Stanley County Commission meets tonight at five p.m.
