The Sully Buttes Chargers will travel down to Murdo tonight for a girls and boys doubleheader to face the Jones County Coyotes.
The girls matchup features two teams with solid records are the Charger girls are 10-2 on the season while the Coyotes are 9-1 on the year. Jones County’s game against Bennett County on Saturday was postponed due to weather so the Coyotes still have half the season left to play heading into the final day of January and the last game being played on Feb. 16. The Chargers have won three straight games after dropping two in a row, its only two losses of the season.
The Charger boys are trying to turn their fortune around taking on Jones County tonight. Sully Buttes is 1-10 but have lost a lot of close games as three losses have been decided by five points or few and a total of five of the 10 have been within 10 points. They face Jones County at 7-7 who have lost two straight immediately after winning four in a row. The Coyotes dropped both games to Lyman and Gregory last week.
