Stanley County Hosts Todd County in Doubleheader

The Stanley County Buffaloes return to the court and are at home tonight as they take on the Todd County Falcons in a girls and boys doubleheader.

The Lady Buffaloes have won two straight heading into tonight beat Crow Creek at home on Thursday and Cheyenne-Eagle Butte on the road on Saturday. Stanley County, at 6-10 are still in sixth place in the 6A standings, but are less than half a point behind fourth. Todd County is at 8-4 on the season, in fourth place in the 7A standings and have won four in a row including a win over AA Douglas.

The Buffs are coming in now having lost back to back games both to Crow Creek and Cheyenne-Eagle Butte as the Cheyenne-Eagle Butte won its first game on Saturday defeating the Buffs by nine. Stanley County is at 3-10 on the season while Todd County comes in at 5-6 having its Saturday game postponed against McLaughlin. The Buffs have dropped to fifth place in the 6A standings trying to fight for a home game in the first round of the Region tournament, while the Falcons are in fifth place, 1.5 points behind Lakota Tech for fourth in the 7A standings.

The girls game will be played first at 6:30 tonight with the boys game to follow at the Parkview Auditorium in Ft. Pierre.
