PIERRE — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. In special business an announcement will be made regarding the opening of a city dog park along Sully Avenue. Commissioners will consider approval of a five-item consent calendar. The calendar includes minutes from the January 24th meeting, the claims, two human resource items and an appointment to the Arbor Board. The Commission will consider a request to bid for bale bags and will hold first reading of an ordinance to amend landscape standards. Commissioners will consider a request to bid for 2023 base course and contract amendment six with Burns and McDonnell for the water water redesign project. Also on the agenda is consideration of a grant award for the Highway 34 water main loop project. Commissioners will close out the meeting by presenting any dialogue they may have. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight 5:30 p.m.
