Pierre Boys Wins Les Tlustos Tournament in Brookings

The Pierre Governor boys wrestling team had a team title on Saturday in Brookings scoring a 287.5 while West Central in second had just a 172.5.

The Governors picked up a total of seven champions in weight classes on Saturday. Lincoln Shoenhard in the 120, Tristan Spencer in the 138, Deegan Houska in the 160, Trey Lewis in the 170, Chance Carda in the 182, Gavin Stotts in the 195 and Josh Rydberg in the 285 all won their weight class. Elijah Boutchee in the 220 also made the championship round for Pierre in a team dominated effort to win by 115 points. Jaxon Ducheneaux in the 145 placed third for the Governors.
