Governor Girls Win Lee Wolf Tournament

The Pierre Governor girls wrestling team picked up another tournament win as the season will move into its final month as Pierre wins the Lee Wolf Tournament in Aberdeen.

The Governor girls scored a total 224 on the day while Aberdeen Central in second place scored 102 less points. The Governors had five champions overall in the weight classes with six in total in the championship round. Sydney Uhrig in the 106, Gianna Stangeland in the 132, Abbigail Lewis in the 142, Hattie Baldwin in the 154 and Ciara McFarling in the 285 all had championship wins on Saturday. Dani Ringstmeyer in the 126 was the sixth competitor in the championship round for Pierre. Lexie Hillmer in the 113, Ireland Templeton in the 170 and Emalee Larson in the 190 all placed third for Pierre.

You can see a full list of the results below. The Governors will head to Canton on Friday for a quad before a tournament in Yankton on Saturday. The quad in Canton begins at 5:30.
