Oahe Capitals Have Pink the Rink Slated for Saturday, Feb. 4

Oahe Hockey Association’s event to raise awareness for cancer is fast approaching. Pink the Rink will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023. This will be an all-day event where hockey players wear pink jerseys and skate in honor of or in memory of someone who has or is battling cancer.

The teams hope to bring in large crowds for the games.  In addition to watching some great hockey, spectators can get involved with the fundraising efforts, as well. This includes chuck-a-puck during the boys & girls varsity games, breakfast and lunch specials at the concession stand, and baskets that will be raffled off. Proceeds from this year’s event will be donated to a local hockey family who is currently facing its own cancer journey.

Pink the Rink will be held at the Expo Center in Ft. Pierre with games beginning at 8 am for Girls U14, 10 am for Bantam B, 12 pm for Bantam A, 2:30 pm for Girls Varsity, 4:45 pm for Boys JV, & 7:15 pm for Boys Varsity. All teams will be playing the Watertown Lakers.
