Threes Rain Down in Onida, Stanley County Pulls Out Victory on the Road

The Sully Buttes Chargers and Stanley County boys basketball team did some long range bombing Tuesday night, with the Buffaloes coming out on top 58-50.

Stanley County drained nine treys with six of them in the hands of hot shooting Kaden Montana, while the Chargers tallied nine as well with Thomas Farries and Wesley Wittler each adding three apiece.

Stanley County led 35-30 at the half, and outscored Sully Buttes 23-20 in the second half to secure their third victory of the season to improve to 3-8 while Sully Buttes slips to 1-8.

Montana led all scorers with 29 points on the night for Stanley County, with Broch Zeeb adding 11 points. Sully Buttes was led by freshmen Wesley Wittler with 16, and Farries with 13.

Next up for the Chargers is a girls/boys doubleheader Thursday at home against Hitchcock Tulare, while Stanley County hosts Crow Creek Thursday.
