The Oahe Capitals never trailed all weekend with wins over Sioux Falls 2, Mitchell and Aberdeen all on the road this weekend finishing the weekend with a 6-3 win on Sunday.
The Capitals won 8-0 on Friday scoring a minute and three seconds into the first period. Saturday it took until the final 40 seconds of the game against Mitchell, but only 45 seconds into the game on Sunday as Aiden Dozark gave the Caps a 1-0 lead. Oahe rolled past Mitchell 6-1 with four second period goals on Saturday and then had a four goal period in the first on Sunday against the Aberdeen Cougars. Barrett Schweitzer scored two goals on Saturday and another on Sunday. Andre Carbonneau and Devin Dodson each had a goal on Saturday and Sunday. The Capitals outscored its opponents 20-4 over the weekend. The Caps had a 6-1 lead on Sunday before the Cougars scored two late third period goals.
The Caps are now 9-2 on the season and will travel down to Yankton on Saturday and Sunday. Puck drop is at 7:30 and 1:00 on Saturday and Sunday before Oahe finally returns home the following weekend.
