Capital Girls Split Weekend with Overtime Win in Watertown

The Oahe Capital Girls team lost on Saturday, but would come back with a win in overtime on Sunday against the Watertown Lakers 4-3.

The Capitals were blanked on Saturday against the Mitchell Marlins as Brynlee Sabers would net a hat trick for the Marlins in a 5-0 shutout victory. Then on Sunday, the Caps would take a 2-0 lead early on in the first period with Cami Larson and Brylee Kafka both scoring for Oahe. Watertown would make it 2-1 after one period before Micah Buffalo added to the lead to make it 3-1. Two more goals by the Lakers sent the game to overtime before Brenna Ullman would score the game winner sending the Caps back to Pierre/Ft. Pierre area with its second win of the season.

The Capitals are now 2-6-1-0 and will finally return home to face the Sioux Center Storm next weekend with games on both Saturday and Sunday.
