The Pierre Governor girls basketball team had no problems with the Douglas Patriots on Tuesday with a 61-19 to improve to 8-1 on the season.
Pierre opened up a 24-6 lead at the end of the first quarter and had a 49-14 lead at halftime and the route was on. The running clock ran the entire second half to help speed up the win and rest some starters as every Governor was put into the game and nine different Governors scored. Reese Terwilliger led the way with 15 points while Remi Price added 13 for the second straight game and Lennix Dupris also had 10 points for the second straight game. Pierre forced 18 turnovers in the game including 11 in the first half. Pierre’s passing and selfless play continued to build through the night. Douglas falls to 1-8 on the season.
The Governors will host the Brandon Valley Lynx on Thursday. Tip off is at 7:00 from Riggs High School.
