The Governor girls wrestling team aren’t taking for granted how many wins they’ve accumulated, but it was another dominating performance on Friday as the Governors took home first place in Harrisburg.

Pierre scored a 218 while Canton finished in second with just a 157.5 as Pierre adds to its list of tournaments they’ve won in the 2022-2023 season. Gianna Stangeland in the 132, Hattie Baldwin in the 154 and Ciara McFarling in the 285 all won their respective weight classes on Friday. Dani Ringstmeyer in the 126 and Marlee Shorter in the 190 also reached the championship match. Sydney Uhrig in the 106, Kerzey Benning in the 120 and Abbigail Lewis in the 142 all placed third for the Governors.
