The Sully Buttes Chargers boys and girls basketball teams will be in Miller tonight for a doubleheader as the Charger girls look to remain unbeaten while the boy are in search of its first win.
The Charger girls, by score, haven’t had many tests this season with its win over Aberdeen Roncalli being its closest win at an eight point margin as they sit at 7-0. Tonight, however, they face the 5-1 Rustlers. The only loss to date was a three point loss to Wolsey-Wessington, but the Rustlers have played three close games in a row going 2-1 in those games with a three point win over Mount Vernon-Plankinton and a four point win over Mobridge-Pollock.
The Miller boys are up to 3-3 on the season after a win on Tuesday, beating Redfield by five 51-46 and have won two games in a row. Sully Buttes will be looking for its first win, but will also be playing its third game in four days and still has another game this week with a Saturday night matchup at the Redfield Classic.
DT Meyer, the voice of the Sully Buttes Chargers will have the call on Country 95.3, pierrecountry.com and on YouTube at Country 95.3 Sports with the girls game beginning around 6:30.
