Sully Buttes Boys Fall on the Road, Slip to 0-5

In the second game of back-to-back nights, the Sully Buttes Charger boys team were over matched against a deeper Ipswich squad, and fell 63-46 Tuesday night in Ipswich.

The Chargers and Tigers were tied at 26 apiece at the half, but Ipswich found their outside shot in the third quarter, and wore down the Chargers with fresh players off the bench to finish off the game. The Tigers outscored Sully Buttes 37-18 in the second half.

Leading scoring once again was Wesley Wittler, who finished with 18 points, while Ipswich was led by Trevor Heinz with 17, and Tyler Hettich with 16 points.

The 0-5 Chargers will have to regroup quick, as they’re matched up against Miller in a girls-boys doubleheader Thursday again, on the road. Saturday the Chargers are in the final game at the Pheasant Shootout in Redfield against the host team the Redfield Pheasants. The 3-1 Tigers face Wilmot Thursday.
