The Stanley County Lady Buffaloes have moved into a win a streak, picking up its third win in a row with an overtime victory, while the boys falter against the Phillip Scotties in a doubleheader on Monday.
The Lady Buffs are now 4-6 and have won four of five dating back to Friday, Dec. 30. It was a 33-31 overtime win for Stanley County as the Lady Scotties fall to 3-4 on the season. Stanley County had built up a 17-10 lead at the break before Phillip stormed back to tie the game after three quarters at 25-25.
The Stanley County boys didn’t have much luck and not a lot went their way in an 87-37 defeat. The Buffs have no dropped six straight after winning its first game of the season as they are now 1-6 heading into the Jones County tournament this weekend. Phillip improves to 4-1 on the year after they ran out to 31 points in the first quarter and built up a 56-26 lead at halftime.
The Lady Buffs will travel to Potter County tonight to face the Battlers while the Buffalo boys team is off until Thursday when they face Jones County at 8:00. Tonight tip off of the varsity game is at 8:00 in Gettysburg.
