Governors Trounce Winner in Dominating Effort

The Winner Warriors jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter, but it was all Pierre Governors after with a 66-32 win on Tuesday.

Pierre used a 21-2 run to finish the first quarter as the Governor defense forced six turnovers in the first quarter alone. Pierre had everything working throughout the evening as threes rained down and the Govs electrified the crowd with several dunks. Pierre opened up a 30 point lead in the third quarter to enact the running clock. Lincoln Kienholz would lead the way with 16 points on the night while Brecken Krueger and Benjamin Heisler each had 11 for the Govs who went 9-11 from the free throw line and had just eight turnovers in the game. Pierre improves to 6-2 on the season while the Warriors fall to 6-1.

The Governor will be back in action next week Thursday when they travel to Brandon Valley. Coverage will start at 6:30 with tip off at 7:00 on KCCR and on YouTube at KCCR Sports.
