Governor Wrestling Wins Tight Contest over Harrisburg

It came down to the final match of the night and Pierre’s Jacob Mason in the 106 would win the match 4-0 to lift the Governors over the Harrisburg Tigers 31-28 Tuesday night.

Pierre won the first match of the night at 113 with Alex Oedekoven, but Pierre had to comeback from a 22-9 deficit and also win the final three matches to comeback and beat Harrisburg as Elijah Boutchee in the 220 and Josh Rydberg in the 285 tied the score with wins at 28-28 before Mason would pick up the final win of the night. Tristan Spencer in the 138 and Chance Carda in the 182 had the lone pins for the Governors. Deegan Houska had a major decision win at 160.

Pierre quickly will turn around and head to Watertown on Thursday for another ESD Dual. Opening match is at 7:00.
