Pierre Boys Wrestling Second in Mid Dakota Monster

The Pierre Governors secured 269.5 points on Saturday the Dakota Monster in Presho which was good for second place in the tournament and first in Class A teams only trailing Canton.

Pierre beat Tea Area, the next closest Class A school, who finished in fourth, by near 100 points. The Titans amassed 188.5 points while Canton placed first at 282 and Winner in third at 205. Individually for the Governors they had five wrestlers all reach the championship round in their respective weight classes. Even though all five placed second, it goes a long way into scoring to have a full handful in the championship rounds. Tristan Spencer in the 138, Deegan Houska in the 160, Trey Lewis in the 170, Chance Carda in the 182 and Josh Rydberg in the 285 all made the championship match on Saturday.

You can see a full list of the results below. The Governors will be on the road twice this week with a dual against Harrisburg on Tuesday and Watertown on Thursday. Both have 7:00 starts.
