Fines, along with Commissioners Connie Hohn, Bill Abernathy and elected officials Sheriff Patrick Callahan; States Attorney Jessica LaMie and Finance Officer Thomas Olivia were also sworn-in to new terms in county government. Hohn was selected to serve as Chair of the Commission while former Chair Randy Brown was selected as Vice-chair. Fines was elected to the Hughes County Commission with Abernathy and Hohn back in the June 2022 primary election. He replaces Randy Vance who did not run for re-election after serving one four-year term.
