FORT PIERRE –The Stanley County Commission is ringing in the new year with it’s first 2023 meeting tonight. The Commission will recognize Dennis Booth for 25 years of service on the Commission. After signing off on 2022 business, the oath of office will be given to Craig Heller, Dana Iverson and Gary Grittner along with Sheriff Brad Rathbun, Register of Deeds Patricia Duffy and Auditor Philena Burtch. A Chair and Vice Chair will also be determined. Business-wise, Commissioners will consider government building issues and board appointments along with other items establishing business for the new year. The Commission will meet in executive session for personnel and will consider two raises and a resolution on 2023 salaries. Commissioners will also discuss cameras for the Stanley County Sheriff’s Office. The Stanley County Commission meets at the Stanley County Courthouse tonight at five-pm.
