Winter weather didn’t wait long to rear its ugly head again. The Pierre Governors and Lincoln Patriots girls basketball game has been postponed for Tuesday while the boys wrestling dual with Harrisburg has also been postponed
The Sioux Falls school district canceled school Monday evening for Tuesday, leaving the game already to be postponed. Fortunately, the two teams don’t have to wait very long for the make up date. Now, the Govs and Patriots will play on Thursday, Jan. 5. It will be part of a split contest as the boys are scheduled to play in Sioux Falls.
The boys wrestling team was scheduled to be in Harrisburg on Tuesday, but instead it will be postponed again and now the date will be to be made up at a later time. The boys wrestling team will head to the Big Dakota Monster having not competed for a near month when they went to Rapid City on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 9-10.
The girls game will be on KCCR and on YouTube at KCCR Sports on Thursday. Coverage will begin at 6:30 with tip-off at 7:00 with Jon Winkler on the call.
