In what was thought to never get here, the Sully Buttes Chargers will finally have its first game of the season for the boys team. They travel to Winner to face the Warriors on Saturday.
The Charger boys have had three games postponed already this season and for all three them, it would have been the season opener. Instead, Sully Buttes has to wait until the final day of 2022 to play its first game.
Ipswich, Northwestern and Phillip are scheduled to play on Friday and are the three other teams to have not played yet in Class B and then Sturgis in Class AA, the Chargers will officially be the last team to play its first game of the season on Saturday. It will also lead to a very busy January and February to make up those postponements.
The JV game in Winner will begin at noon with the varsity game to follow.
