The Jones County Coyotes came in to Ft. Pierre on Tuesday and both the girls and boys teams would leave with victories as the girls would win 53-25 and the boys 61-51.
The Coyote girls team is now 3-0 to open the season as the Lady Buffs fall to 0-4 now on the year. The Coyotes have now won every game by at least 12 points and the last two coming by way of 20 plus points. They will face Burke next, on Tuesday Dec. 27 to resume after the moratorium which begins on Friday. The Lady Buffs will now be off until next week Thursday when they host the Winner Warriors in a make up game from last week’s blizzard.
The Buffalo boys team is now 1-1 on the year falling to the now 1-2 Coyotes by 10. Stanley County was able to hang tough, but just didn’t have enough in the tank with its 12 day layoff of games. The Buffaloes will also be a part of the doubleheader against Winner next week Thursday, Dec. 29 before traveling to Selby on Friday to face the Wolverines. Jones County will be hosting Burke in its next game part of the doubleheader.
Stanley County and Winner will start its doubleheader on Thursday, Dec. 29 at 6:30 with the girls playing first and the boys game to follow at the Parkview Auditorium.
