Kienholz Switches Commitment, Now a Buckeye

Star quarterback for the Pierre Governors, Lincoln Kienholz will no longer be going out west to the University of Washington, instead he has committed to Ohio State University.

Announcing on Twitter, Kienholz thanked Washington for honoring his decommitment and then in a tweet just minutes later, announced he has verbally committed to Ohio State, one of the four teams in this year’s College Football Playoff.

Kienholz broke several state records over his career at Pierre being a part of four state championships and winning three of the four as the starting QB. Over his career Kienholz amassed 9100 yards of passing breaking Austin Sumner’s record and the career passing touchdown career record with 104. He also owns the state record for passing yards and touchdowns in a season with 3422 yards and 46 touchdowns. Kienholz also was a three time all-state quarterback and this year’s 11AA All-American.

Ohio State will play Georgia in the national semifinals on Dec. 31 with the winner playing Michigan and TCU in the National Championship.
