Chargers Pressure North Central, Up Record to 2-0

The Sully Buttes Chargers girls basketball team took to the road Friday night for their second game of the season, and came away with a 55-20 victory over North Central in Bowdle.

The Chargers had two players in double figures, with Lydia Hill dominating the low post and scoring 19, while Stevie Wittler added another solid offensive performance, finishing the night with a totao of 15 points.

The victory came to the Chargers thanks to hard work on the defensive end of the floor, forcing the Thunder into 23 turnovers with full court pressure, and taking control under the hoop with defensive rebounding.

For North Central, Alaina Dosch led in scoring with 8 points. This was the first game of the season for the 0-1 Thunder.

Next up for Sully Buttes is two tough games against Region 6B opponents–Tuesday at Presho against the speedy Lyman Raiders in a girls-boys doubleheader–weather permitting–and Friday at home against a strong Herreid Selby Area squad. Friday night is also the night former Sully Buttes standout guard Alexis Yackley-Warner gets inducted into the Sully Buttes Hall of Fame.
