Tonight is the home opener for the Stanley County Buffaloes as they take on the Miller Rustlers in a boys and girls doubleheader at the Parkview Auditorium.
The Stanley County girls are the only team of the four tonight to have already played a game so far this season. The Lady Buffs fell to the Chamberlain Cubs on Tuesday as now the Rustlers will open the season tonight. Last year, Miller went 13-8 falling in the SoDak 16 qualifying game to Herreid/Selby Area.
The Miller boys went 4-18 last season and graduate four. The Stanley County boys are coming off a season reaching the SoDak 16, but will have a new look to them. The Buffs graduated all five starters from last year and will have a young team, just like they did in football. Max Foth, head coach of the Buffaloes says they’ll go nine to 10 guys deep tonight…
Foth says Miller is big and physical…
Foth says confidence is key tonight…
Tip-off of the girls game is scheduled for 6:30 tonight with the boys game to follow all at Parkview Auditorium.
