The first week of the season is a busy one for the Stanley County Lady Buffaloes as they open up the year tonight on the road to face the Chamberlain Cubs.
Stanley County will play three games from Tuesday to Saturday, but tonight’s game is the only one on the road. The Lady Buffs and Cubs played last year to open the season and it was Chamberlain squeaking out a 10 point win 63-53. Now, the two seniors of Kori Gabriel and Alejandra Juarez will look for a strong start to the year after the Lady Buffs went 3-18 last year.
Chamberlain also brings in two seniors on the 2022-23 squad. The Cubs went 9-12 last year falling in the Region 6A quarterfinal to Dupree.
The Lady Buffaloes will be at home on Thursday and Saturday this week hosting Miller and White River. Tonight tipoff is scheduled for 7:45 for the varsity game at the Chamberlain Armory.
