PIERRE — The Hughes County Commission is meeting tonight at the Hughes County Courthouse. Three planning and zoning matters top the agenda. Commissioners will give first consideration to a plat request and first reading to an ordinance to amend select planning and zoning fees along with a right-of-way request filed by Northwestern Energy. The Commission will consider 2022 county bridge inspections and a Bridge Improvement Grant application. Commissioners will consider approval of a pay application for a cast-in-place culvert; reappointment of the Veteran’s Service Officer, jail contracts and financial transfers. Also on the agenda are the 2023 calendar, personnel items, employee health insurance, the claims and reports. The Hughes County Commission meets tonight at 5:30pm.
